Summer 🌻 Solstice 2019

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. 🌞

The summer solstice marks the day when the sun is at its highest point in the sky for the year ; which is widely known as the first day of summer. It is also the longest day of the year. The word solstice comes from a Latin word that literally means “sun standing still.” The solstice has been celebrated for hundreds of years & is one of the earliest astronomical observations in human history .

So basically it's a celebration of the sun. The summer solstice is all about light. “The summer solstice is a celebration of the return to light, and it so powerfully reminds us of the light within each of us and the full potential of our individuated as well as united light or christ consciousness (our cosmic sense of unity). It is about awakening, or reaching enlightenment, as an omnipotent symbol of ascension and the ultimate triumph of light over darkness." - Natalia Kuma 

For me , this is a time of transformation . I planted the seeds during our April New Moon & since then have been doing the work of pulling the weeds & watering those same seeds . Today marks the beginning of a new season . Figuratively & literally . This summer is all about reaping the harvest of those intentions that we set a few months back . If you haven’t been doing the work , now would be the time to go inward & reflect on your life . Shed light on the areas of your life that have been neglected & left in the dark . Now is the time to be honest with yourself as to what  is & is not working in your life . Think of today as a chance to truly appreciate what is going well in your life & see what is stopping you from reaching your greatest potential.  You are in a transformational period in your life . Little caterpillar , it’s time to break out of that cocoon & FLY 🦋
